Terms and Conditions

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit equivalent to 50% of the venue hire, is payable within 10 days of making a booking. Should the deposit not be received during this time, it will be assumed that you no longer wish to proceed with the booking and the date will be released. This deposit should be paid by electronic bank transfer. No credit card payments are permitted for the deposit. The booking is confirmed once the Terms and Conditions have been acknowledged and the Booking Form is completed.

Venue hire rates for Sundays and Public Holidays are increased by R1 500 excl. Vat.

Damage Deposit

A refundable damage deposit of R1 500 is charged to allow for any breakages of glasses, burns or wax to table linen etc.
This will be refunded to the client once these items have been checked. You will be liable for any other damage to Talloula property caused by you/your guests or suppliers, of whatever nature.

Risk, Loss or Damage

Talloula will not be held responsible for damage or loss of property of any guest/supplier whilst on their premises.


Final payment

Final payment is required 30 days prior to the event, and should be made by electronic bank transfer.  A penalty of R500 per day will be levied on all payments which are late.

Menu

Talloula are more than happy to entertain changes in the menu options supplied, which will be done in conjunction with the head chef and the function co-ordinator. Menu’s and menu prices must be confirmed in writing 30 days prior to the event.  A 15% service fee will be levied to the cost of all catering.

Confirmation of final numbers is required 30 days prior to the event. Should the numbers change within the last two weeks, Talloula reserves the right to charge for the original number booked. You are reminded to make allowance for any service providers such as photographers when confirming final numbers.

Bar

All bar expenses are to be paid prior to departure by credit card. No exceptions will be allowed. Talloula will not be responsible for any guest who does not agree with the bill presented at the end of the evening.

Open Bar

In the event that you wish to operate an open bar (with or without limit) Talloula undertakes to provide an hourly sub-total to a nominated person in order to keep track of expenses.  A R5 000 deposit for the bar is payable 30 days prior to the event.

Cash Bar

In the event of a cash bar operating, guests will be responsible for immediate payment of drinks either by credit card or cash. Drinks allocated to the main account are to be settled at the end of the function prior to departure by credit card.

A list of required drinks, along with wine choices, will be confirmed prior to the function, and should be received by Talloula in writing 3 weeks prior to the event.

Function Times

Due to local by-laws, music in the venue is to be switched off at midnight.    An overtime rate of R2 000 per hour or part thereof, will be charged for any function where guests remain at the venue after midnight.
